Ex-Maverick Josh Howard gets 1-year deal to return to  Wizards

Josh Howard's agent Derek Lafayette told the Washington Post that the former
Mavericks forward has agreed to a one-year contract to return to the
Washington Wizards.

Josh Howard的經紀人Derek Lafayette說Howard已經和巫師同意簽下一年的合約。


Howard is set to come back after playing only four games with the team last
season. The deal is expected to be worth close to $4 million with incentives
based on games played, minutes played and minutes averaged.

上一季在為巫師打了4場比賽之後，就因傷整季報銷。而這筆合約預估4百萬美元，
並且依上場的場數、時間，而有激勵獎金。


"He has made a decision to return to the Wizards," Lafayette said. "We're
just happy that he's happy."

經紀人Derek Lafayette說他已經決定回到巫師了，而我們因他而感到開心。


Howard, 30, joined the Wizards in a seven-player trade deadline deal last
February that shipped Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson to
Dallas. The deal was official Feb. 13, but he tore a ligament in his left
knee on Feb. 22. The Wizards declined to pick up their option on his contract
at the end of the season but left open the possibility of re-signing him.

30歲的Howard(咦?!不知不覺也30了...)是在上季2月份的的一筆7人交易中來到巫師。
小牛因此獲得了Caron Butler、Brendan Haywood和DeShawn Stevenson。他是在2月14
號(台灣時間)被交易到巫師，但是23號時因為韌帶撕裂傷而導剩餘球季報銷。 在上季
末本來巫師傾向不執行他的合約，但現在打算要和他續約。


Howard had surgery in mid-March, with an expected recovery time of six to
eight months. His agent believes he will be 100 percent by October. Howard
has averaged 15.3 points over seven NBA seasons.

Howard在3月中旬進行了手術，預計6到8個月康復，經紀人Derek Lafayette相信他在
10月時可以百分之百康復。他在過去7個球季平均得分為15.3分。


The Washington Post reported that the Wizards were impressed with Howard in
his short stint in Washington with his enthusiasm and inspired play.


No. 1 overall pick John Wall, a native of North Carolina like Howard, wrote
on his Twitter account. "Glad to hear we [re-signed] Josh Howard...Feel he
can help us out a lot!!!"

而巫師今年的狀元John Wall也在他的Twitter提到，他覺得球隊續約Howard可以給他
們很多的幫助。
