Caron Butler out tonight vs. Philly
Coach Rick Carlisle confirmed moments ago that small forward Caron Butler
will miss his second consecutive game tonight because of back spasms.
Butler did not go through the morning shootaround and Carlisle said the team
is hopeful that its third-leading scorer will be back Monday against New
Orleans.
"Hopefully, not too much longer,'' Carlisle said. "Hopefully we can get this
thing resolved and have him ready for Monday, but we're going to continue to
list him day-to-day. It came up in the Boston game and we're going to err on
the side of caution.''
Meanwhile, Dirk Nowitzki will play tonight.
