The first-year affiliation between the Mavericks and the new Texas Legends of
the NBA Developmental League paid its first dividend Tuesday night when
rookie guard Dominique Jones got some playing time in the Frisco team's home
opener.

Mavs coach Rick Carlisle was pleased with Jones' night (25 points in 31
minutes) and impressed with the overall operation.

"I very much like that team and how they put it together," Carlisle said.
"There's a lot of diversity, a lot of different kinds of players."

He cited guard Antonio Daniels, with 12 years of NBA experience, helping
youngsters acclimate to their pro surroundings.



Butler's comfort zone: Caron Butler, a Maverick since last February, said his
on-court relationship with teammates that he's played with for less than a
full season continues to improve.

It manifests itself in scoring outputs like the ones he enjoyed against Miami
(season-high 23 points) and Houston (19).

"It takes awhile to understand where your opportunities come from," Butler
said. "You need to learn when to capitalize, become assertive on offense."

Milestone for Carlisle: Wednesday night's Mavericks victory gives Carlisle
400 in his NBA career. He has 119 wins with the Mavericks in 182 games,
making him the second-fastest Mavs coach to reach that amount of wins.

Avery Johnson reached that figure in 152 games after inheriting the job from
Don Nelson late in the 2004-05 season.

The only other coaches to win that many games in Dallas were Don Nelson (119
in 267 games) and Dick Motta (119 in 316 games in the franchise's first four
seasons).


昨天對火箭的勝利，讓總教練Rick Carlisle拿下NBA執教生涯第400勝。而他帶領小
牛的182場比賽裡拿下119勝，是小牛隊史第二快拿下這個數量勝場數的總教練。

最快的是Avery Johnson，他只花了152場，他是在2004-05球季末從Don Nelson手中
接下總教練的職位。

另外兩個達成這個紀錄的是Don Nelson和Dick Motta。
Don Nelson花了267場；Dick Motta則是316場。
