Dirk Nowitzki: Out for weekend, keeps aggravating knee injury

Dirk Nowitzki spoke with reporters this morning and after ruling himself out
for Saturday's game against Orlando talked at length about his sprained right
knee and how it's been healing.

"It's been frustrating,'' he said. "I felt like I could have helped the team
in some of those games. It's hard to see your two best scorers go down.''

Nowitzki did some running on the court Thursday, he said, and that has
convinced him and the medical staff that more time is needed.

"I ran a little and as long as I have pain, we don't want to try it every day
and keep aggravating it,'' he said. "So we'll shut it down for a few days.
Hopefully I can get back into it soon. When it first happened, I never
thought I'd miss two weeks. I was basically saying that I'd be back in a
week. But I don't have a lot of experience with knee injuries, and that's a
good thing.

"Hopefully in the next few days, it will respond good and I'll be pain-free
and ready to go.''


Dirk明天對魔術的比賽也不會上場。

Dirk說：這一直都令人感到沮喪，我覺得在過去幾場比賽裡可以幫助球隊， 看到球
隊兩個最好的得分好手受傷是很難熬的。

Dirk昨天有在場上做一些跑步，在這之後，他覺得還需要一些時間。

他說：只要我做些跑步就會感到疼痛，所以不能每天嘗試去做這件事， 導致情況繼
續惡化下去，所以我們會暫停幾天看看，希望我可以盡快恢復跑步。 當我剛受傷時
，我沒有想過會錯過兩周的比賽，我說我基本上一個禮拜會回來， 但是我沒有太多
關於膝蓋受傷的經驗，至少這是件好事。希望在未來幾天，能夠有所好轉， 而不會
感到疼痛，並且準備好再出發。
