Sefko: Why the Mavericks have no need to make a trade deadline deal

PHOENIX — Mark Cuban always talks about being opportunistic at this time of
year, and for the next week until the trade deadline, he’ll stick to that
plan of attack.

But a more accurate way to look at the Mavericks’ personnel situation is to
say that they won’t do anything before Thursday unless it’s a no-brainer.

The Mavericks reached the All-Star break early Friday morning and have the
second-best record in the Western Conference, having reinvented themselves
after the season-jarring injury to Caron Butler.

小牛的賽程走到明星賽這，擁有西區第二的好成績，在接下來的球季都將失去Caron
 Butler的情況下重新改造自己。


In that respect, they already have gotten their two pre-trade-deadline
acquisitions.

Their names are Peja Stojakovic and Roddy Beaubois.

The hope from within is that getting them in the flow will be the equivalent
of bringing in All-Star talent via a deal — without the transition time that
goes with it.

As for their roles, the best news is that both look like they are healthy.
And if there are no injury concerns, they will be high-end rotation producers.

For that reason, Cuban said the Mavericks feel “no sense of urgency,”
 unlike last season, to make a deal.

基於這些理由，Mark Cuban說小牛感覺起來沒有「迫切感」(迫切找交易?)，不像上
個球季，得去作交易。
