Sefko: JET's shot wasn't playoff ready, so he did something about it

WASHINGTON — Jason Terry wasn’t happy about the way he was shooting in the
week or two before the All-Star break.

So he did something about it.

Terry went through some lengthy shooting sessions with Mavericks’ coaching
consultant Tim Grgurich.

“This is where you get sharp,” he said after one session. It was the kind
of behind-the-scenes work that athletes put in when things aren’t going as
well as they want.

“Gurg’s analogy is that it’s like a baseball player at the plate,” Terry
said. “They swing the bat every day. We have to shoot every day. It just

of mind. I had that earlier in the season, but I missed working with him.”

Terry finished with 25 points Saturday, and his shot was back as he hit 10 of
his first 16 shots before missing two late heaves.

Terry’s shooting always has been streaky. And he’s been pretty average this
year in making 44 percent of his shots and slightly more than 34 percent from
beyond the arc. That’s not going to be good enough come playoff time.

球命中率也超微超過3成4，這在季後賽還是不足夠的。


Terry knows it. So he went to work and the results seemed to start showing
right away.
