X-rays negative; Marion uncertain

-- The good news regarding Shawn Marion is that X-rays of his bruised ribs
were negative. The bad news is he took a shot to the rib cage in the same
spot that was already sore from a bruise that occurred in Phoenix prior to
the All-Star break.

Marion was clearly in discomfort after Wednesday's highly disappointing,
93-92 loss to the New Orleans Hornets, who played without Chris Paul.

His status for Thursday night's game against Carmelo Anthony and the New York
Knicks is unclear at this point, but it would seem hard to imagine him
rebounding from a shot to the ribs just 22 hours later. He said it was
difficult for him to breath and that his ribs were tender.

“I hit a spot that was already tender,” said Marion, who bruised his ribs
in Phoenix prior to the All-Star break. “I got a knee or a camera right
there on the side. It hit directly in my rib cage. It’s real tender, but I’
ll be all right.”

The Mavs could be down their top two small forwards Thursday night. Peja
Stojakovic missed Wednesday's game with a stiff neck and his status is
unclear. That would put the onus of guarding Anthony on DeShawn Stevenson and
newcomer Corey Brewer, who has played just 22 minutes in four games and was a
DNP-CD against the Hornets.


Marion作X光檢查結果是OK的

不過因為撞到了之前受過傷的部位(肋骨)

現在傷處依然一碰就痛

能不能上場比賽是未知數


而Peja在今日對黃蜂的比賽因頸部僵硬(落枕?)缺席

目前的狀況也不清楚

在兩位受到重用的小前鋒都缺席的狀況下

看守melo的大任可能會落在Stevenson跟Brewer身上
