When asked after this morning's shootaround about Roddy Beaubois'
availability for Game 2, Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said "we'll announce
the lineups tonight."

Even if Beaubois, who missed Game 1 with a sprained left foot, is available
for Game 2, he doesn't figure to get much playing time. DeShawn Stevenson
played well as the starter in Game 1 and gives the Mavericks needed backcourt
muscle to combat Portland's bigger guards.



另一個大家比較關心的消息，那就是Roddy Beaubois今天到底會不會上場?

總教練Rick Carlisle是說：晚上再決定。

不過就算可以上場，預料他也不會有太多上場時間，DeShawn Stevenson在第一戰先
發給了小牛所需要的力量，可以去對抗拓荒者較高大的後場陣容。

This has to be considered progress in Maverick nation.

Not sure when the last time they had a player finish in the top three of
defensive player of the year voting, but Tyson Chandler was tabbed third by
the panel of 119 media members nationwide.

I have to confess he did it without any help from the Mavericks' beat writer
for The Dallas Morning News. He wasn't in my top 3.

But the point is that he finished third behind runaway winner Dwight Howard
of Orlando and Boston's Kevin Garnett, who nosed out Chandler for second.

Chandler indeed has been the key figure in the Mavericks gaining a foothold
defensively this season. They finished in the top 10 in points per possession.
