Mavs' Caron Butler eyes return vs. L.A.
吸管哥準備回來啦~
There is a chance small forward Caron Butler could play in the Dallas
Mavericks' second-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Butler suffered a ruptured right patellar tendon on Jan. 1, an injury that
had to be surgically repaired. The Mavericks originally announced that
Butler's season was over, but he set a goal to return during the playoffs and
aggressively rehabbed.
While leaving the Rose Garden after the Mavericks' series-clinching win over
the Portland Trail Blazers,
Butler said he could be cleared to practice with
contact after being evaluated in a workout after the team returns to Dallas.
He expressed optimism that he would be able to play at some point during the
Western Conference semifinals against the Lakers.
"I hope so," Butler told ESPNDallas.com. "We've got to get back and see."
Butler, a two-time All-Star who formed a close friendship with Kobe Bryant
while playing for the Lakers in 2004-05, averaged 15.0 points per game and
excelled defensively this season. The Mavericks were 24-7 when Butler got
hurt in Milwaukee, with dozens of friends and family members from his
hometown of Racine, Wisc. in attendance.
While Butler probably wouldn't play heavy minutes, his return could be
especially inspiring to teammates who have witnessed him rehab relentlessly
while maintaining a leadership role for the Mavericks.
"I just want to see him in layup lines," Jason Terry said. "If he can get up
in layup lines, it's going to boost us immensely emotionally. He's been here
the whole way, though. This guy has worked so hard to get ready for this
series."

CB4接下來會參加隊上的練習~
但就算能上也沒辦法打太久~
而對於隊友來說吸管哥的上場有很大意義
JET表示：＂我就只想看到他出現在先發名單上。
如果他能回到先發名單中的話，這對於我們來說是大大的激勵啊！
這代表著這傢伙經過多少的努力才回到場上，為了這個系列賽！＂
