小孩說這是最後的一次機會

When you're 38-years-old and have played in the NBA for 17 seasons, you take
nothing for granted.

當你是個在NBA打混了17年的38歲老將，你不會認為有哪些事情是理所當然的。

Jason Kidd is one of the oldest players in the league and he's now five
victories away from his third appearance in the NBA Finals. First the
Mavericks must get rid of the Los Angeles Lakers, a team trailing 3-0 in the
Western Conference semifinals. After that, it's on to the Western Conference
finals.

小孩是聯盟中最老的球員之一，
而他現在距離生涯第三次打總冠軍賽還差五場勝利。
首先，小牛必須要擺脫差一場就淘汰的湖人，
接著小牛將成為打西區冠軍賽的兩支球隊之一。

Kidd understands moments like this don't come often.

小孩知道打冠軍賽的機會並不會常常出現。

"I look at that every year in the playoffs," Kidd said after a Game 3 victory
where he scored 11 points and had nine assists with four turnovers. "You're
not guaranteed to make the playoffs ... and for that you have to put your
best foot forward each time you take the floor at this time of year."

At the midway point of the season, Kidd talked about how this might be his
last season. If there is a prolonged lockout, one that might cost the league
the 2011-12 season, Kidd said he would retire. He said he doesn't believe his
body would get ready after a long time away from the game due to a labor
problem.

在季中的時候，小孩告訴大家他下一個球季的打算。
如果下個球季封館的話，他說他應該會退休。
他認為他的身體沒辦法在經過長時間的休息後，
還能應付NBA的賽程。

The NBA's CBA ends in June and the early proposals have been rejected by the
players union.

NBA的勞資協議將在六月底結束，不久前的提案才被球員工會給拒絕了。

With labor issues pending and his age, there's no telling if Kidd will get
another chance at playing in the NBA Finals.

隨著NBA勞資協議的懸而未決，再加上小孩的年紀，
沒有人有把握小孩還有機會參加下一次的總冠軍賽。

"I've been lucky to make it twice to the Finals and come up short," he said.
"And I've also been around a lot of first-round exits, when we were the
favorites. You just got to take it one game at a time and once that game is
over you got to push forward."

小孩：＂我很幸運的能夠打了兩次的總冠軍系列賽，而且還有一次也快來了XD
　　　　而在我的球隊很有機會拿冠軍時，也常在第一輪就出局了QQ
　　　　我們每次都只需要把握住眼前這場比賽的勝利，
