Dallas Mavericks trade draft rights for guard Nick Calathes to Memphis
Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies have acquired the rights to guard Nick Calathes from
the Dallas Mavericks.
The Grizzlies announced the deal Monday.
Dallas acquired Calathes’ rights in a draft night trade in 2009, but the
guard out of Florida had not played for the Mavericks. The Mavericks already
had Memphis’ second-round draft pick in 2016 from Denver in a trade
involving Corey Brewer and Rudy Fernandez. But the Grizzlies lifted their
protections on the draft selection in exchange for Calathes’ rights.
Calathes, 24, scored 12.6 points with 5.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 14
games for Lokomotiv Kuban of the Russian Professional Basketball League. He
averaged 13.9 points and 6.1 assists in 30 games in the VTB United League.
The 6-foot-6 guard played his first three professional seasons in Greece.
Calathes被交易到灰熊 換來2016的第二輪選秀
不過其實小牛在Brewer跟Fernandez的交易案中就已經從金塊拿到這個選秀權
但這個選秀權本來是有31-55順位的保護 現在沒有了
總之 就等於是用一個不知道何時才會用到的09年選秀換來一個16年選秀...
另外 Bernard James預期將會回到小牛
不過小牛可能也會考慮在夏季聯賽表現不差的Jackie Carmichael
