Mavericks-Grizzlies Preview


There is plenty of incentive for the Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks
in Wednesday night's season finale.

明天的球季最終戰，曼斐斯灰熊與達拉斯小牛都還有不少取勝的動機。


The winner will gain the Western Conference's seventh seed, and the visiting
Mavericks will be seeking to complete their first season sweep of the
Grizzlies in six years.

此戰的勝者，將決定西區的第七種子，小牛希望六年來首次在季賽橫掃灰熊。


These Southwest Division rivals have 49-32 records, and Wednesday's loser
will be seeded eighth and face San Antonio in the first round. Both clubs
lost all four meetings with the league-best Spurs.

兩隊的戰績都是49勝32敗，敗者將在第一輪對上聖安東尼奧馬刺，兩隊本季對
上西區龍頭馬刺都是四戰全敗。


"They'll be at home, they're going to try to win their 50th, we want to win
50, everybody wants to move up and get a higher seed if they can," Dallas
coach Rick Carlisle said.

Memphis clinched the league's final playoff spot Monday by scoring the final
seven points in a 97-91 win at Phoenix. Zach Randolph fed Mike Conley for a
go-ahead 3-pointer with 68 seconds left that triggered the final burst.

灰熊昨天靠著在鳳凰城以97-91擊敗太陽，奪下西區最後一張季後賽門票，他
們最後打出一波7-0攻勢逆轉。Zach Randolph在倒數68秒傳給Mike Conley投
進超前三分彈，幫助灰熊在最後衝刺階段拿下勝利。


The Grizzlies have won four straight and are 22-10 since Feb. 9 for the
West's third-best mark in that span.

灰熊自從2月9日以來拿下22勝10敗，在這段期間的戰績排西區第三，目前拿下

"We've needed every game basically since February it seems like," Conley
said. "We've played every game like a playoff game. It's been fun to be part
of a group that comes in and stays focused and to get back in the playoffs."

Dallas is seeking its first seven-game road win streak since winning eight in
a row Nov. 20-Dec. 27, 2010. That season marked the Mavericks' 11th straight
with at least 50 wins and they can reach that plateau Wednesday for the first
time since.

小牛也希望拿下自從2010年底以來首度的客場七連勝，該年小牛拿下連續11年
50勝的成績，今年小牛有機會在2010-11球季之後首度拿下單季50勝。


"I think we took 50 wins for granted a little bit there a couple times, when
we just did it a few times in a row there, won 67 (in 2006-07), you think 50
wins is easy to get but it's really not," forward Dirk Nowitzki said.

Monta Ellis matched his season high with 37 points and Nowitzki scored 21 of
his 23 in the second half Saturday as the Mavs rallied from 13 down for a
101-98 clinching home win over the Suns. The club's 12-year streak in the
playoffs ended last season.

Monta Ellis前一場比賽拿下平本季新高的37分，Dirk拿到23分，其中21分來自
下半場，幫助小牛逆轉13分的落後，以101-98擊敗來訪的太陽，闖進季後賽。

Nowitzki is averaging 23.3 points on 57.8 percent shooting in the season
series, with Dallas winning by an average of 13.4 points. The Mavs last swept
four meetings in 2007-08.

Dirk本季對上灰熊平均23.3分，命中率57.8%，小牛在三場勝利中平均贏13.4分，
小牛在2007-08賽季之後就不曾單季橫掃灰熊。


This season's results may be deceiving since Marc Gasol missed one meeting
while Conley sat out twice.

不過這樣的對戰成績不具有非常大的參考價值，因為Marc Gasol因傷缺席一場，
而Conley也缺席了兩場。


The Grizzlies are 39-18 when they start Gasol and Randolph.

本季灰熊在雙塔Gasol與Randolph同時先發時，戰績39勝18敗。


"We've got to be ready to guard those guys with a lot of different people,
probably a lot of different schemes," Carlisle said. "It's a very challenging
game from that perspective. I don't know of another team in the league that
has two guys of this magnitude of post-up scoring ability, rebounding ability
and they both are playmakers as well from the inside out."

Ellis is tied for third in the NBA with 10.1 drives per game entering play
Tuesday. He's averaged 8.3 in the season series against a Grizzlies team
that's allowing a West-low 38.5 points per game in the paint.

Ellis本季每場平均切入10.1次，聯盟排行第3，本季三度對上灰熊，他平均切入
8.3次，不過灰熊讓對手的禁區得分是西區最低的38.5分。


看來兩隊都還是會盡力搶勝  上面也說了卡帥完全不在意選秀權XD
(反正小牛的選秀都不是太成功...)
