MIAMI -- Heat center Michael Doleac, who strained his right ankle in the first half of Saturday's 91-81 exhibition loss in Atlanta, will be sidelined for two to three weeks, putting his availability for the Oct. 31 season opener against Chicago in doubt. "I kept running on it and it kept hurting worse and hurting worse and it kept throbbing," Doleac said Monday of his attempt to play through the pain. "I thought I'd just tie my braces up tighter and go back in." Doleac said X-rays came back negative. Coach Pat Riley said it was a Grade 2 sprain. Doleac watched Monday's practice from the sideline in a protective boot. The ninth-year veteran also was sidelined during training camp last year, with a strained left calf. He missed the first 13 games of 2005-06. "This is totally different," he said. " I've had 40 or 50 or 'em in my career. It's a lot different than trying to come back from a muscle strain or a muscle tear. I'm pretty optimistic that this is going to be a lot easier to heal than my calf last time." -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 203.67.8.167
