Shaq Gets Good News On Knee, Riley Wants Him To Wear Pads

Palm Beach Post - An MRI showed that Heat center Shaquille O'Neal has no
serious damage to his bruised left knee, coach Pat Riley said Monday.

O'Neal, who was hurt when he bumped knees with a New Jersey player in
Friday's game, is listed as day to day, making him questionable for tonight's
game against Seattle at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Riley said this entire episode was avoidable.

"If he'd worn his knee pad he wouldn't have done that," Riley said. "That's
the one time he didn't wear his knee pad. And when he took the thigh
contusion (at the end of the 2004-'05 season) is the one time he didn't wear
his thigh pad."
