CHICAGO, Dec. 27 (AP)-- Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade left Wednesday night's
game against the Chicago Bulls with a sprained right wrist and team officials
said he would not return for precautionary reasons.
It appeared Wade injured his wrist coming off a screen while covering
Chicago's Kirk Hinrich in the first quarter. Wade stayed in the game, but
came out after the next timeout. He then went to the locker room accompanied
by trainer Ron Culp.
Wade, who had 40 points and 11 assists in the Heat's 101-85 victory over the
Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, is averaging 28.6 points and 8.2 assists.
The Heat were already without center Shaquille O'Neal, who has been sidelined
since Nov. 12, when he tore knee cartilage against Houston.
