The signing of forward James Jones could signal the end of Miami’s free agent hunt until next month, when the bargain basement opens. The Heat gave Jones about $4 million of the projected $6 million mid-level exception. And that’s smart. It just leaves no money for anyone else of any meaning. Heat president Pat Riley seemed resigned to that Wednesday, and he wasn’t upset about it. Rather it seems to fit in with the team’s plan — gather talent regardless of position and let the players play. It’s not a permanent philosophy, but it’s what’s going on right now. And once again Riley reiterated Shawn Marion isn’t on the trading block. Of course, none of the above means Miami will stop looking for trade opportunities. But as for the free agent jewels, it’s going to take a lot of panning to find one nugget of gold. Riley的話你信嗎? -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.161.233.33
