這個約卡了一陣子,總算簽約了,其他老將的補強可以開始動起來了 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mike Miller in Miami, plans to sign with Heat on Thursday BY MICHAEL WALLACE mwallace@MiamiHerald.com LAS VEGAS -- After days of delays over paperwork procedures, free agent Mike Miller is in Miami to make his commitment official. Miller agreed to a five-year deal with the Heat on Monday and is expected to sign his contract Thursday. One of the reasons for the holdup was that forward Michael Beasley, traded by the Heat last week, needed to get to Minnesota to complete his physical and clear his $4.9 million salary off Miami's slate of contracts. During an interview with a Memphis radio station Wednesday, Miller said he was ``waiting on one thing'' to get done before he finalizes his contract. ``I'm excited about it,'' Miller told the station. ``It's a good opportunity.'' Miller arrived in Miami on Wednesday and is scheduled to travel to the Memphis area Thursday to prepare for his weekend of charity events in nearby Tunica, Miss. A former standout at the University of Florida, Miller is expected to be the complementary shooter the Heat needs alongside its star-studded nucleus of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh. James and forward Udonis Haslem aggressively recruited Miller, who will earn about $25 million over five seasons. After signing Miller, the Heat is expected to finalize deals with forward Juwan Howard and center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. At least two teams tried to make a last-ditch effort to convince Miller to reconsider going to Miami. But Miller sounded Wednesday as if he was firm in his commitment to the Heat. ``Obviously, you're looking at three of the most dynamic players in the league,'' said Miller, a nine-year veteran who shot a career-high 48 percent from three-point range last season. ``You need to surround that with shooters. Hopefully, I can go in there and do that for these guys.'' SCATTERED STARS Getting Wade, Bosh and James on the same team was a major coup for Heat president Pat Riley. Keeping them together during the offseason might prove to be impossible. After initially hoping to make at least one appearance this week with new teammates, Wade said Wednesday his sidekicks wouldn't be available for The Summer Groove festivities. James returned to his Akron, Ohio, home, where he posted on his Twitter account Wednesday that he had just completed a workout at his old high school. Bosh, meanwhile, was in Los Angeles presenting an award during the ESPYs broadcast. INJURY UPDATE Heat guard Mario Chalmers sustained a high ankle sprain during a pickup game this week in Miami and will be in a cast for two to four weeks, the team said. ``Bad for me. All bad,'' Chalmers wrote as part of a Twitter exchange Wednesday with former Heat teammate Daequan Cook. Chalmers was working out with the Heat's summer league team in mini camp, but did not travel to Las Vegas. http://tinyurl.com/2cznmab -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 123.195.64.120
