[閒聊] Mourning跟Obama去打高爾夫

   President Obama decided to go big with his golf plans in Davie, so he 
showed up Saturday at Grande Oaks Golf Club with former Miami Heat center 
Alonzo Mourning as part of his foursome.

   "I spent six hours in a golf cart with the most powerful man in America 
talking everything from basketball to life after his term," Mourning told the 
Sun Sentinel at Saturday night's Heat-Boston Celtics game at AmericanAirlines 
Arena. "It was very surreal and enlightening.

   "It was a dream come true."

  The President apparently left duly impressed, as well.

  美國總統歐巴馬打算在 Davie(佛羅里達州東岸)辦個高爾夫球聚，於是週六約了四名
  Grande Oaks俱樂部的球友，包括前熱火中鋒Alonzo Mourning。

  在今晚熱火賽後，Mourning跟太陽哨兵報記者說～

  「我跟這位全美全有權力的男人坐在golf cart上聊所有事，在這六小時當中，我們
    從籃球到他的生活經驗都聊。」

  「就像美夢成真一樣」

  總統先生似乎也留下深刻的印象。


  "When we left, he handed me the scorecard," Mourning said. "It read, 
'Thanks for carrying us today.' "

   Mourning smiled and said he agreed not to share their scores, but said 
they got in all 18 hole in amid the intermittent rain showers.

   So why Davie and Grande Oaks?

   Mourning, a longtime Democratic fundraiser, said the two initially planned 
to play this summer in Martha's Vineyard.

   "But then it got late and I had to get my kids into school," Mourning 
said. "So he reached out to and asked me to choose where to play."

   Mourning：「當我們要離開時，總統遞給我計分卡，上頭寫著『謝謝你今天的招待』」

   Mourning開心笑著說他不會show出他們的計分卡，只說他們打這18洞淋著間歇的小雨。

   那為什麼挑Davie的Grande Oaks打球呢?

   Mourning是長期的民主黨募款人之一，他說本來今年夏天有兩次打算去Martha的
   Vineyard

   「但當天我時間拖得太晚，我又要接我孩子去學校，於是總統先生又跟我約其他時間，
     問我哪裡比較方便打球。」

   Mourning said he suggested his home course, at Turnberry Isle in Aventura.

   "They said that wouldn't work, because there were too many high-rises," 
Mourning said. "The Secret Service asked for somewhere else."

   Mourning, who currently serves as a Heat executive, previously had played 
basketball with Obama but this was the first time they golfed. Asked which 
was the President's better sport, Mourning smiled.

   "Considering everything on his plate, he's a decent golfer," he said with 
a grin.

    「本來我提議到我家附近的 Turnberry Isle(坦伯利島度假村)，但是他們說不好，
      因為那裡太多高樓大廈，他們不方便過去，特務秘書要求選其他地點。」

    Mourning現在身為熱火隊的制服組之一，以前也曾跟歐巴馬打過籃球，但這次則是
    頭一次跟他打高爾夫球，記者問他，總統先生哪一個打得比較棒？

    Mourning燦笑：「我認為他在什麼樣的場合都表現得很優，他高爾夫也打得不錯。」

   But this transcended sport.

   "To know I have a friendship with the most powerful man in the world is 
something I will never take for granted," Mourning said.

   Amid his move into political fundraising and an even stronger presence in 
various philanthropic efforts, Mourning rounded out a foursome that also 
included former U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Cyrus Walker, the
cousin of senior presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett.

    比打球更重要的意義是～

　　Mourning：「要知道～我跟全世界最有權威的男人成為好朋友，是我始料未及的事」
    (瞧你得意的.. 真是總統的super fans) 

    當天與會的其他政要人士，還有兩名前美國貿易代表跟一名總統府資政顧問。

   That left Mourning alongside the President at the very course (since 
renamed) where the original Caddyshack was filmed.

   The round completed two days in South Florida for Obama, who attended 
three fundraisers Friday, departing Saturday afternoon from Miami amid steady 
rain.

   According to the Washington Times, Saturday's round was the 150th for 
Obama in less than five full years in the White House, his 39th this calendar 
year.

    當天 Mourning 與總統發生有許多趣味的事，就猶如真實上演1980年拍的喜劇電影
   「瘋狂高爾夫」(有人有看過?)

    歐巴馬待在佛羅里達的這兩天，週五參加三場與政治募款人的聚會，週六下午從
    邁阿密離開，當地還下著雨。

    根據華盛頓日報，這場高爾夫球聚是歐巴馬五年來第150場球聚，今年有39場球聚。
