The Heat could announce Friday whether Chris Bosh will be forced to miss the
remainder of the season following tests on his lungs.
Bosh was admitted to a Miami-area hospital Thursday after meeting with a
doctor. The Heat’s power forward underwent initial tests that proved
inconclusive, according to the Heat. The fear is that Bosh could have blood
clots on his lungs. If there is a pulmonary embolus, or multiple clots, then
Bosh would be out for the remainder of the season, and possibly longer, while
being treated with blood thinners for pulmonary embolism.
A 10-time All-Star and two-time champion for the Heat, Bosh signed a
guaranteed five-year contract in July for $118 million. The contract
currently is the largest guaranteed deal in the NBA. With a 22-30 record, the
Heat (22-30) is in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings with 30
games remaining in the regular season. The Heat plays the 10-win New York
Knicks at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Madison Square Garden.
The game in New York, Dwyane Wade’s first since Jan. 27 because of a
strained right hamstring, could be overshadowed by news of Bosh’s medical
condition. Bosh, 30, hasn’t felt well since earlier in the All-Star break,
according Wade, who traveled to Haiti with Bosh on Monday during Carnival.
Bosh and Wade were also together in New York for the All-Star Game.
Concerns for Bosh’s health have tempered excitement throughout the team and
front office after Heat president Pat Riley and general manager Andy Elisburg
traded for Phoenix Suns point guard Goran Dragic on Thursday afternoon. The
Heat dealt guard Norris Cole, forwards Shawne Williams and Danny Granger,
center Justin Hamilton and two future first-round picks for Goran Dragic, 28,
and his brother Zoran, 25.

蠻多廢話的，重點就前兩段
熱火可能會在周五宣布Bosh是否被迫錯過接下來的賽季賽程。
基本上就是初步診斷之後，熱火方面非常擔心Bosh是肺栓塞(Pulmonary embolism, PE)
的症狀或是Multiple Clots，如果屬實，Bosh可能會缺席接下來整個賽季，甚至更久。
PS:有請醫學專長的說明一下
Pulmonary embolism 和 multiple clots的差別...
才學疏淺的我好像查不出個所以然...
