決定離開FB陣營。

今年四月McCoy曾在瓦侖西亞參加過一場由IRTA以及Dorna官員到場列席觀察的特別
「計時測試」。這是由於Dorna表示FB Corse車隊必須先證明自己有跑完比賽距離
的實力，才能夠允許他們以這台全新的三缸車下場參賽。

測試的失敗導致McCoy發出了他的離隊宣言。

“After spending the last 4 months training at top level, today I am at my
best mentally and physically to race. My goal is to come back to the World
Championship. I thought FB Corse was ready to do the step but they haven't
accomplished the needs till now required. Hopefully soon, I will be able to
update you with more news.”

同時另外一支新的計畫中隊伍Inmotec也仍然尚未宣布能夠下場投入賽事的確切時間。
