勇士總教練Steve Kerr說那場輸給太陽的比賽 "讓我們眼睛張開了些"

Sometimes, a championship team needs to lose to one of the worst teams in its
league in order to realize its potential. At least, that’s something Steve
Kerr can appreciate.
有時候一支冠軍隊伍要輸給聯盟裡的大爛隊才能知道自己的潛力，至少那是Steve Kerr認
為的。

That process accurately reflects what happened to the Golden State Warriors.
這也恰恰反映在勇士最近發生的狀況上。

After being on the receiving end of one of the biggest upsets this NBA
season, suffering a 115-101 loss against the Phoenix Suns a week ago, the
Warriors bounced back by beating two of the best teams in the Western
Conference. They started with a 106-104 win against the Houston Rockets last
Wednesday before taking care of the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night.
在接受到本季最大的一次挫折之後--一星期前以115-101輸給太陽--勇士接連擊敗西區最佳
兩支隊伍。先是在星期三以106-104擊敗火箭，然後在星期六也順利收拾了雷霆。

Steve Kerr said the loss to the Suns served as a wake-up call for the
defending champions.
Steve Kerr說那場輸給太陽的比賽就像是晨鐘，敲醒了衛冕軍勇士。

“I think the loss to Phoenix opened our eyes a little bit.”Steve Kerr said.
「我認為那場輸給太陽的比賽讓我們的眼睛睜開了一些，」Steve Kerr說。

The Rockets and the Thunder are considered the only teams who could possibly
take out the Warriors out West. By beating them both, the Dubs sent a strong
statement to the rest of the league that they are not going to relinquish
their throne easily.
火箭跟雷霆被認為是在西區有機會可以擊敗勇士的隊伍，而勇士擊敗這兩支隊伍像是跟聯
盟其他隊伍宣告，勇士不會輕易把冠軍拱手讓出的。

What’s more impressive about the Dubs’ last two victories is the fact that
they achieved them without reigning NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant.
更讓人印象深刻的是，這兩場勝利是在沒有連兩屆FMVP Kevin Durant在場的時候拿下的。

Golden State is expected to win its third straight title this year, despite
struggling early in the season. However, the loss against Phoenix should make
the Warriors realize that if a bad team can beat them when they are
complacent, things could be worse against a contender.
儘管季初有些掙扎，勇士在今年被認為會拿下連續第三屆NBA總冠。然而，輸給太陽的比賽
讓勇士了解到，如果一支爛隊可以打敗自滿的勇士，那當面對有能力爭奪冠軍隊伍的時候
狀況會更慘。

They have responded well, and look ready for whatever happens in the
postseason.
不過勇士作出良好的回應，而且看起來已經準備好應付季後賽了。
