: 的確如briㄉㄉ所言，是指持球者所在的那1/4塊球場面積，
找英文資料的話，應該都是這個定義。

仔細看可以發現，這個網站其實是抄一堆別的網站的定義當作自己的內容，
所以往下拉會有一堆定義，而且每個都有「Full article >>> 」可以點，
點了就會看到該定義的完整說明。
該網站的第一個定義，很不巧的並不是籃球的用法，
而是football（美式足球）的用法。
而且很好笑的是，如果點了第一個定義的「Full article >>> 」，
出現的是：
「Strong Side: The side of the court on which the ball is being controlled. If
the ball is either passed or dribbled across court, then that side becomes
the strong side.」這個正確定義。
至於原本的：
「Strong Side: Simplistically speaking, the side of the field (left or right)
that has the most players, but it depends on the formations of the teams.
When a team uses one tight end, the strong side is th . . . View Full
Definition ...」到那裡去了呢？
在下面的「related words」的第一個，
點View Full Definition就可以看到其完整的內容如下：
「Strong Side: Simplistically speaking, the side of the field (left or right)
that has the most players, but it depends on the formations of the teams.
When a team uses one tight end, the strong side is the side of the field
where the tight end lines up. If the offensive package uses no tight end, or
more than one tight end, the strong side is the side of the field with the

這很明顯是美式足球的定義，參看wiki就一目了然。

避免洗板，就回在這邊。
只要google一下並且稍加評估資訊來源的可信度，
應該不難發現與其說「兩者都有人使用」，
不如說偶爾也會出現一兩筆錯誤或混淆的資料較為合理，
就像知識家之類的資訊通常不能當真，並不是英文網站的資訊就通通等價。
而且strong side/weak side在籃球戰術裡是專有名詞，
若是強行套用類似football的定義，
又如何理解strong side screen、strong side defense等名詞？
這些用法在前面出現過的網站裡就有提到，都是針對球，跟人多人少無關。

最後簡單回應一下。
首先聲明我不討論態度問題，特別是原討論串本來就處處針鋒相對，
只對其中一人或一方指摘態度問題並不合宜。
其次，籃球裡strong side該如何定義，相信已經說明清楚。
再次，中文裡所謂「弱邊單打」一詞，因所謂強邊弱邊等術語原則上都是翻譯而來，
準據英文裡的定義，「弱邊單打」一詞應該認為係積非成是，即便迫不得已積重難返，
除這個名詞以外，單獨使用強邊或弱邊等語時，仍以回歸其原本意義為宜，
畢竟這個用語多半使用於戰術指示或研討，
而相關的複合名詞，例如weak side defense等已有固定指涉，
不在定義上搞清楚，討論難以進行，原討論串已有先例。
