Raptors guard T.J. Ford was released from an Atlanta hospital
and was to return to Toronto on a noon flight to join his team.
Ford was held overnight after a hard fall on a flagrant foul
by Al Horford on Tuesday, but has been medically cleared
after being carried off on a stretcher.
Ford experienced temporary numbness after the fall
and remained overnight in Atlanta for precautionary reasons.
Given the fact that he missed the entire 2004-05 season with
a spinal cord injury,
last night's developments were particularly concerning.
We doubt he actually plays against the Mavericks tonight,
but anything is possible at this point
