Derrick Rose suffered a right hip flexor strain in the first quarter of the
Bulls' final exhibition Friday night against the Bucks and will not return.
Rose suffered the injury while driving to the basket on a fast break. The
rookie guard drew a foul from Bucks forward Richard Jefferson and landed
awkwardly, spending several minutes on the court before rising.
Later, Rose rode a stationary bicycle near the Bulls' bench to try to keep
the injured area loose. Then he retreated to the locker room for the night.
