Marbury refuses to play, angering D'Antoni
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni told Stephon Marbury before Saturday's game that
there were 30-35 minutes available if he wanted them, but Marbury refused to
play.
"I was told they were moving in another direction and that I wasn't in the
plans," Marbury said, "so that's it." The Knicks made two big trades with the
future in mind on Friday, and you better believe getting rid of Marbury is
now the front-office's top priority. We'll just be relieved when this soap
opera finally ends.
