Luke Ridnour is gaining a lofty reputation among his Bucks coach and
teammates for his toughness. The Bucks' veteran point guard fractured
his right thumb just two weeks ago and was expected to be sidelined
for at least four weeks. But Ridnour stunned the Bucks' medical staff
by pronouncing himself fit to play Friday night against the Cavaliers
at the Bradley Center. Ridnour played 33 minutes, scoring seven points
and getting six assists. On January 9, against the Nets, Ridnour wasn't
supposed to play, either. He experienced severe flu-like symptoms.
After receiving an IV before the game, Bucks' doctors advised Ridnour
to go home. But Ridnour opted to play and wound up hitting the game-
winning shot.
