Kevin Durant was able to walk without crutches on Monday and is hoping to
return to action either on Saturday or Sunday after suffering a Grade II
right ankle sprain on Feb. 27.
However, the sprain is very similar to the one that hindered Deron Williams
for over a month and the Thunder plan on being cautious with his return. "We
don’t want this to linger into the summer when he will develop into an even
better player," coach Scott Brooks said. "Kevin is a big part of this
franchise. We’re not going to jeopardize a couple of games here and there."
Durant still might be a long shot to return this weekend. But if he does, you
might be able to start him next week.
