Toe surgery could knock Warriors' Jackson out for season

Guard Stephen Jackson will undergo surgery next week to remove a bone
fragment in his left big toe and the Golden State Warriors' leading scorer is
expected to miss the rest of the season, coach Don Nelson said Saturday
night.

Also out for the Warriors were Corey Maggette (head contusion), Marco
Belinelli (right ankle), Andris Biedrins (left ankle) and Jermareo Davidson
(left foot).

Detroit Pistons guard Richard Hamilton returned to the lineup Saturday
against the Washington Wizards after missing six games with an injured left
groin.

Meanwhile, forward Rasheed Wallace missed his 10th straight game with a
strained left calf and guard Allen Iverson sat for the 16th in a row with a
sore back.

"Hopefully, in the next day or so [Iverson] will be ready to give it a
chance. We'll see if he can go tomorrow," Curry said. "Tuesday at the latest
for 'Sheed and Allen."

Guard Mike Taylor left the Los Angeles Clippers' game in Houston on Saturday
with a bone bruise in his right knee.

Taylor limped off the floor with the help of team trainers. X-rays were
negative.

Taylor returned to the game in the final minute of the third quarter.
