Knicks confirm interest in Allen Iverson

Knicks president Donnie Walsh confirmed that the team will look into the
possibility of signing Allen Iverson, who was waived by the Grizzlies on
Monday.

"Right now I'd say probably not, but we'll see," said Walsh. This might be a
perfect meeting of desperate parties -- Iverson needs to prove he deserves to
start and the Knicks need to improve their franchise-worst 1-10 record. If
A.I. comes to New York it could be bad news for the playing time of Nate
Robinson, Toney Douglas, Larry Hughes and Chris Duhon.
