Erick Dampier is out indefinitely after suffering an open dislocation
of his right middle finger.
Dampier went to an Oklahoma City hospital immediately after the Mavericks'
99-86 loss Tuesday to the Oklahoma City Thunder to have the injury
surgically repaired. Blood gushed out of the finger after the bone ripped
through the skin. "It was frustrating," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said after
the new-look Mavs lost. "I'm not going to make excuses about the trade.
Right now, I'm just concerned about Damp's situation."
