Celtics coach Doc Rivers is thinking about resting Paul Pierce until his
sprained right thumb heals. "I think the thumb, the knee, and the foot, it
may have caught up to him right now," said Rivers. "We may have to look at
giving him some rest. I don’t know yet, but on the surface that’s the way
it looks like it’s going.’’ Pierce admitted "it's affecting my shot a
lot," and fantasy owners should brace themselves for a few DNPs.

Andrei Kirilenko said after Sunday's game in which he left after eight
minutes with back spasms and did not return, that he may need "three or four
days for his back to calm down." This is bad news considering he missed six
games earlier in the year because of his back. Absent a more positive report,
he belongs on owners' benches for this upcoming week, and the trio of Wesley
Matthews, C.J. Miles, and Kyle Korver all get a bump in value, but picking
between them is guesswork right now.
