track to play in the season opener. J.O. said that he tore cartilage in his
wrist this preseason, but other than a small wrist guard he looked healthy.
Given his history of injuries and his platoon role in the Celtics'
frontcourt, he's not a great fantasy center.

Beat writer Al Iannazzone is hearing that barring a setback, Troy Murphy
(back) could play in the second or third game of the regular season. It
sounds like Murphy is definitely out for Opening Night, but that's well worth
it if it keeps his back at 100 percent. He'll jump right back into the
starting lineup upon his return. Still, Murphy is going from a free-wheeling
system in Indiana where he was encouraged to take any shot at any time. In
New Jersey, he'll be running Avery Johnson's strict offense. He's a high-risk
fantasy selection.
