Jason Williams (knee) practiced Saturday for the first time since Sept. 28.
Williams had arthroscopic knee surgery on Sept. 30 to clean out debris in his
left knee. He's questionable for Wednesday's season opener, but is set for a
very minor role behind Jameer Nelson and Chris Duhon.

Dwyane Wade said recently that he no longer wishes to be known by the
nickname, "Flash." Curiously, the nickname was given to Wade by Shaq and the
Heat play the Celtics in Tuesday's much-anticipated season opener. Glen "Big
Baby" Davis tried and failed to get rid of his nickname -- we'll see if Wade
has better luck.

Gilbert Arenas sat out of Sunday's practice due to soreness in his right
ankle -- the same problem that sidelined him for the final two days of
training camp. The Wizards don't play until Thursday, and it makes sense to
rest Arenas before the regular season starts. Still, between this nagging
injury and Arenas' fake injury stunt, it hasn't exactly been a smooth
preseason.
