Deron Williams appeared to aggravate his right wrist injury on Friday and was
extrememely bothered by it, both mentally and physically, and it sounds like
the Nets are ready to shut him down for the season.
There's nothing concrete to go on here, but all signs are pointing to the
fact Williams has played his last game. Avery Johnson said the Nets will have
a "deep discussion" about how to move forward with Williams and replied "you
probably know the answer to that" when asked by reporters what the options
might be. Again, this is speculative, but we would be quite surprised if
Williams isn't finally shut down for the rest of the season. Run, don't walk,
to pick up Jordan Farmar.
