課程大綱
Television News: Between Content and Cognition
There is a seeming paradox whereby most people regard television news as their
primary source of information but at the same time they have difficulty process
ing the information contained in newscasts. The course focuses on a variety of
issues dealing with the contents and formats of presentation of television news
, on the one hand, and with cognitive issues relating to the way viewers attemp
t to cope with the news, on the other hand. Finally, an attempt is made to brid
ge the gap between these two domains.

1.曾在美國哥倫比亞大學、馬里蘭大學、明尼蘇達大學等名校擔任訪問教授。
2.在以色列希伯來大學及台拉耶夫大學傳播學系任教近三十年，並曾擔任系主任。
3、曾任國際傳播學會會長。
4、目前擔任多份世界著名期刊的編輯委員。
