Summer analyst: Investment Banking
As a summer analyst in Corporate Finance, you will spend 10 weeks
working with top-tier professionals at the heart of a leading global
investment bank. Through training, hands-on learning opportunities, mentoring
and feedback, and numerous development opportunities, you can advance toward
your career goals. This is an ideal way for you to meet the people who make
JPMorgan a success, to experience our unique culture and to learn about our
full-time opportunities. Our summer analysts become primary candidates for
our full-time program.
Start date: 10 weeks over June- August 2008.
About Investment Banking
JPMorgan is one of the world's top-tier global investment banks. We
provide advisory services to clients on corporate finance decision such as
capital structure and financing alternatives. We also help clients frame the
strategy and perform valuation analysis for mergers and acquisitions. This
capability supports an outstanding network of relationships with corporate
and institutional clients that lie at the heart of our Investment Banking

As a Corporate Finance summer analyst, you will participate in assignments
that may include, but are not limited to:
"Conducting industry and company research
"Performing financial analyses
"Building and using financial models for financial valuation, discounted
cash flow and multiples based analyses
"Preparing presentation materials and participating in deal pitches
"Participating in transaction executions
Qualification:
We are looking for BA/MBA candidates who posses the following:
"Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
"Strong accounting, finance and business writing skills
"An ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines and have the
aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative
solutions
"Are adaptable, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume
a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
"A well-rounded academic background with coursework in finance, accounting
or economics is recommended
"Fluency in both Chinese and English is essential
"GPA of 3.2 and above
"You should be expected to graduate in 2009
