主講人:唐釗 演講時間為:6/5 10:30 地點:研究大樓 103 講題:我的學思歷程 附上唐釗的介紹 Dr. Patricia Hsieh comes to San Diego Miramar College with extensive experience in education. She has served as the Interim President of Sacramento City College, and Vice President of Student Services. Dr. Hsieh was Vice President of Student Services at San Bernardino Valley College; Dean of Student Learning at Moorpark College in Ventura County, and Dean of Admissions and Records at Antelope Valley College. She was Transfer Program Coordinator for Woodbury University in Burbank, and Program Coordinator for the Educational Development Institute in Detroit, Michigan. She has faculty experience at Los Angeles City College, the University of Phoenix and Ventura County Chinese Language School. Born in Taiwan, Dr. Hsieh's education reflects an international background. She earned a B.A. in Western Languages and Literature at National Chengchi University in Taiwan. She received an M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from Wayne State University in Detroit and earned an Ed.D. in Institutional Management in Higher Education at Pepperdine University. Dr. Hsieh attended the Harvard University Institute of Management and Leadership in Education. Her publications, presentations and offices in professional organizations reflect her varied interests in many areas of education. Dr. Hsieh has been actively involved in the community activities and events in San Diego since she assumed her role as the President at San Diego Miramar College. Under her leadership, the College recently dedicated its Diesel Technology building as the Tom Hawthorne Diesel Technology Center. Along with San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders, she is one of the keynote speakers at the San Diego Annual State of the Community Luncheon. President Hsieh has also been nominated for an Asian Heritage Award in the category of Education. In addition, she will be the commencement speaker at National Chengchi University’s 80th commencement this coming June. Currently, Dr. Hsieh is involved in San Diego North Chamber of Commerce, San Diego Women’s Association, Chinese Historical Society, Asian Business Association of San Diego, Chinese Association for Science and Technology, and San Diego Chinese Historical Society and Museum.
