●Kant's epistemological revolution attempts to establish metaphysical knowledge by determining the necessary conditions of the possibility of experience.
●Kant limits knowledge to appearances, and denies that we can know anything at all about things-in-themselves.
●The limitation of knowledge to appearances, refutes dogmatic assertions of determinism. Kant argues that our experience of moral obligation makes sense only if we are truly free.
●Morality, according to Kant, requires u to ignore our inclinations and perform our duties out of pure respect for the rational law that is their source.
●Kant contends that we, as rational animals, necessarily hope that moral worth and happiness will coincide. He contends that this hope can be sustained only by postulating the existence of God and the immortality of the soul.
●Kant argues that our experience of organic forms in nature leads us to judge that an intelligent being created the world for the purpose of enabling rational animals to use their freedom for moral ends.
