Idea to Product Asia Competition 2008 (Thailand, Dec 18-19)
Dear Sir/Madam
On behave of National Science and Technology Development Agency, Thailand, we are pleased to invite your university to participate in the Idea to Product Competition- Asia, hosted by National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) on December 18-19, 2008.
The Idea to Product Competition (I2P) is a technology commercialization competition that seeks unique product ideas with clear market demand, using innovative technologies. The competition originated from I2P University of Texas at Austin. This year the University of Texas at Austin has invited NSTDA to the host I2P Asia.
Technology Summaries will be screened in the Preliminary Round by a panel of business and technical experts.?Selected teams will be invited to present their product ideas at the I2P Asia?Final Round Presentation on 18-19 December 2008 at Thailand Science Park Thailand.?I2P Asia offers total prize of 7500 USD for winning teams in a number of categories, and will select the winner to compete at the Global Finals of Idea to Product Competition 2009 at University of Texas at Austin in October 2009.?Moreover,
the winner of Global Idea to Product 2009 will also compete in Global Moot Corp Competition at Austin, Texas.
Participation in I2P Asia is open to all students and researchers from schools around Asia. To enter the competition, teams submit a 2-page Technology Summary answering a series of questions covering their technology, the best market for initial commercialization, and the basic intellectual property aspects of their project.?Teams may contain up to 5 people, but must include at least one student. The intent to compete form can download from http://www.ideatoproduct-asia.org. Submissions must be received
