"Is there a dragonfly staying on your shoulder? Have you ever noticed
that? ..." Such is the love story that was wide-spreaded on the internet
for a long time, and was recomposed & sung by Tarcy Su(蘇慧倫) & Yu-Quan
(羽泉), a chorus dual from China. The story is about that a boy & a girl
lived by the seashore. They loved each other, but one day the girl got
sick and was unconscious gradually, just like the sleeping beauty. The
boy was so sad. He decided to go to the church and do nothing but pray.
Once the Lord told him that the girl would be awake, but himself had to
become a dragonfly for three years. The boy dealt with the Lord instantly
without thinking anymore. The girl was awake later on, but she could not see
the boy, because he was a dragonfly for certain at this moment, which could
only fly around the girl and stay on her shoulder. The girl searched for
the boy again and again, but the boy was still disappeared. At the last day
of the 3 years, the girl attended a wedding, she was another one's bride now.
The boy flew back to the church with sorrow. He told the Lord that he would
like to be the dragonfly forever. I never read about the original story
because I might lose my patient, but I'm moved after seeing the MV for the
song. I feel that it's my friends & affectionate one that counts. They are
all treasured for me, so I hope that they are all happy. On the other hand,
I feel that the boy in the story must be Faust, and the Lord is
Mephistopheles.
