The man Hirotada Ototake (乙武洋匡) was born in the Setagaya District (世田谷
區), Tokyo in the year of 1976. He was graduated from the Waseda University
(早稻田大學) and becomes a popular young author now. Meanwhile, he also holds
a TV program of the TBS Inc.. However, Ototake was born to be a disabled
person without arms or legs. The wheelchair is likely to be the basic
equipment of his daily life, or even part of his body. Because of his own
experience, Ototake took actions to design and lead the authority concerned
to care about the issue of the barrier-free spaces as a university student in
Waseda. After reading the work of Ototake's autobiography --"No One's Perfect"
(五體不滿足), which was printed by the Kodansha (講談社) publisher, I found
that he always takes the optimistic attitude toward the disaster, so he can
always see the bright sight of human life. I think he is quite a small giant
that worth learning after. Finally, in an ordinary way, I would like to take
the new anthem of the Japanese singer, Emi Fujita (藤田惠美), to greet Mr.
Ototake.
In my life (part of the whole song)
There are places I'll remember all my life
Through some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all......
