六、課程概要:
根據教育部國語辭典,「街頭」的意思是街上,而含有街頭二字的詞語有街頭劇、街
頭小報、街頭巷尾、街頭運動、十字街頭、流落街頭等。而街道的意思是,供人車通行的
道路。本課程使用「街頭」這個詞即在於取其運動、抵抗的意涵,以有別於街道家具的「
街道」。又之所以稱為「街頭藝術」(street art)而非「公共藝術」(public art),是為
了強調其平民(非藝術專業界)、低科技,甚至是無政府主義性格。
課程開始先閱讀/討論幾個可以用來研究分析街頭藝術的理論/概念,如青少年次文化
、犯罪、男子氣概、文化防堵、排除地景、都市美學等,接著分別針對街頭藝術個案,包
括塗鴉、紐約地下鐵塗鴉、文化防堵、反廣告、街頭看板解放、公共壁畫、收復街道等進
行研討。修習這門課程需要閱讀、觀察、實習並重,亦即閱讀國內外文獻、實地進行本土
公共空間觀察(或利用網路個案研究)、最後再以虛擬的方式進行一個街頭藝術行動。
