Creator Don Bellisario calls this "a season of secrets."
How so? "Gibbs [Mark Harmon] has been gone," says Bellisario;
Gibbslost his memory and quit NCIS in the season 3 cliff-hanger.
"Agent Tony DiNozzo [Michael Weatherly] has taken his place
as team leader. Since Gibbs left, he and Shepard [Lauren Holly]
have gotten along famously. They' hll have an assignment that
nobody will know about." Not secretive enough for you? Try this:
"Ziva [cote de Pablo] is going to have a secret, Tony is going
to have a secret, Tony and Ziva are going to share a secret. 
Abby has a secret that's not so secret." Aw, give us just one
secret. "Tony and Ziva are going to look at each other
in a different light, and that's all I'm going to say."
