a(n) = a(1)* r^(n-1)
S(n)=a(1)(1-r^n)/(1-r)
2.
At first, you should determine whether the existence of limitation
of the series. If the serire is converge,
then the sum of this series is existence.
for your case, I think there ought to be no any formula for this series.
