BREE, Belgium - It may have taken her five trips to a Grand Slam final before walking away with a title, but it was worth the wait for fans of Kim Clijsters. The US Open champion returned to her hometown of Bree, Belgium this week, where she was greeted by many fans who wanted to share in the celebrations with Clijsters. A party was held in her honor at the "Markt" in Bree where Clijsters met with reporters, addressed the crowd in attendance and had a good time with members of her family and boyfriend Brian Lynch. Clijsters captured her first Grand Slam title on September 10th, defeating Mary Pierce in the US Open final. She had been runner-up at the US Open in 2003, along with being the finalist at the Australian Open in 2004 and Roland Garros in 2001 and 2003. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 202.175.54.94
