Henin-Hardenne sits out Fed Cup
Justine Henin-Hardenne has pulled out of the Belgium team to face the United
States in the Fed Cup semi-finals.
"She will not play because she is not 100% fit," a team spokeswoman said
ahead of this weekend's clash.
Henin-Hardenne lost the Wimbledon final to France's Amelie Mauresmo on
Saturday, four weeks after she had retained her French Open crown.
Wimbledon semi-finalist Kim Clijsters will play for Belgium, with Leslie
Butkiewicz replacing Henin-Hardenne.
The US are not at full strength either for the semi-final, which takes place
on indoor hard court in Ostend.
Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Lindsay Davenport are all missing,
leaving Jill Craybas, Jamea Jackson, Vania King and Mashona Washington to fly
the flag for the Americans.
Italy and Spain contest the other semi-final in Zaragoza. The final is on
16-17 September.
