http://0rz.tw/HRUva (僅節錄跟Kim有關的部分) KIM Clijsters' injury scare has been diagnosed as a thigh muscle spasm which should not jeopardise her Australian Open defence, yet concerns remain about the physical toll of unforgiving hardcourts as several title contenders battle injuries in the first week of the year. Clijsters, 28, retired at 7-6 (7-4), 1-3 in her Brisbane International semi-final against Daniela Hantuchova after feeling a gradual tightening in her left hip, determined not to risk serious damage with the Melbourne Park grand slam starting on Monday week. She had an ice bath and sought immediate treatment, while declaring she had ''a good feeling'' about this setback, in comparison with the more serious abdominal injury she sustained in Toronto in August. The Belgian's coach, Carl Maes, confirmed yesterday that the MRI scan had proved negative. ''Kim will be resting for a few days and get intensive treatment,'' he said, indicating that another check-up is scheduled for Wednesday, but that the four-time major winner's farewell Australian Open appearance ''should not be in danger at the moment''. Clijsters had earlier indicated that, test results permitting, ''it should take a little under a week to get completely healed and so that's what I am obviously hoping for, aiming for''. She conceded that while there were advantages and disadvantages with every surface - lower-back issues on grass, for example - the sport in general had become far more physically demanding. ''I can obviously only speak for myself but the tennis that I play is physically so demanding on the body and then combine that on a hard court … it's more demanding on the joints especially.'' 檢查結果出爐是肌肉痙攣 教練說應該不會影響到澳網 下星期三複檢 希望趕快恢復健康!! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 182.235.190.15
