Research Associate (Duration: 1 year with a possibility of renewal) in
MEMS/NEMS Research Group, Department of Mechanical Engineering, HKUST
1. Duties:
Appointees will participate in developing low-cost micro electroporation cell
chip for DNA transfection and drug delivery. This project is in collaboration
with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia
(http://www.kaust.edu.sa).
2. Requirements:
A PhD degree in bioengineering or related disciplines (biomedical, etc).
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience and strong background in molecular
biology (electroporation, PCR, electrophoresis), cell culturing and
fluorescence microscopy will be preferred. The applicants should have good
English capability including experience in writing refereed international
conference/journal paper. Hands-on microfabrication skill will be a plus.
3. Conditions of Service:
Salary: HK$16,000-20,000/month (NTD$62,226-77,782/month) (depends on English
and research capability). Medical benefits and paid leave are provided where
applicable.
