It's not a rule about "hey, let's do something funny to make the fans
notice we got rules."
It actually made practical differences between rule-followers and
-violaters.
We don't know if remaining silence will give all the honors and respects
back to this still undoubtedly great team, but rushing to a feeble excuse
surely won't.
And how about those other teams according to YOUR information that are
also "doing it a little"? Why not give each of them a Super Bowl so that to
meet the very concept of justice lies well behind your argument?:)
