去年一場Browns對Ravens的比賽(好像是)裡,Browns kicker Phil Dawson在終場前踢了一
球逆轉射門. 一開始看起來是球彈到門柱彈出來,可是有人發現球是先彈到兩旁的門柱,彈
"進了"球門再碰到球門後的支架彈出來. 再原本的規則射門是屬於不能看重播改判的play,
可是裁判在開會後決定改判(正確的決定). 今年就把它正式寫入規則.

NFL贏丟銅板的一方在以前只能選要先攻還是後攻,而NCAA的話贏的一方可以讓另一隊選,自
己決定進攻的球門方. 現在看起來NFL也要採取NCAA的規則.
: ‧A direct snap from center that goes backward will now be treated as a fumble.
: Previously, it was ruled a false start.
在以前,如果向後發球不是發給QB的話,算是false start. 現在的話則是fumble,也就是說
是活球而比賽會繼續進行. 這讓一些之前違規的奇襲戰術變合法化.
: ‧Eliminating the 5-yard face mask penalty.
: Now, only the serious face mask will be called (and will be assessed as a 15-yard penalty).
現行的規則是如果球員"不小心"碰到面部護具的話,會被判5碼"incindental face mask".
現在改回只有嚴重抓面具才會判15碼的face mask.
